Hello Katken,

Thank you very much for the details.

Do you have a date of death for Adam?

I was in Torryburn in February 2008 and walked through the graveyard on Main street and also the graveyard on Crombie Point.

At that time I was searching for my Sands and Keltie ancestors. I didn't know at that time of the connection to Masterton or Black. I started work on my tree in mid 2007.

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately I do not know the exact date, however I do know he was buried on the 24 Aug 1849, so presumably shortly before this.

Their grave stone is not very helpful as it only has their names on it, no date.

They were my 4x great grandparents. I have a photo of their grave stone at the cemetery if this would be helpful.

Thanks
Kathryn

Hello Kathryn,

Thank you.

I'll PM my email address.

Do you have the date for this one or perhaps a copy of the death certificate?

Death 1902 KELTIE Cecilia (MASTERTON) Falkirk, Stirling Age 83

Filling gaps in my tree. One I didn't get from SP not being my direct line.

Hi Dave,

Her date of death was 29 May 1902. I am sure I have a copy of her death certificate at home which I can send to you. I will take a look. I have entered all these dates in a Tree, so mostly work off that until I need an actual record...then its back to the dusty files..... I am working on getting everything scanned in.

I have sent you a copy of the Cecilia and Adams grave stone.
Anything you can give me about this line or around this line would be great, but I am not sure what SP means? I'll get used to the lingo

Thanks Ellie.

As I mentioned, this is third time around looking to fill gaps and sort issues.

Adam b. 10 May 1776 c. 12 May 1776 Culross, Perth
John MASTERTON & Christian DRYSDALE
Batch: C113434

Cecil b. 13 Sep 1775 c. 17 Sep 1775 Torryburn, Fife
John BLACK & Marion RAE
Batch: C114585

I have 6 children but the others don't connect to my tree by marriage.

I doubt there is Black on both sides so I'd say granddaughter got it wrong and Margaret Watson's mother was not Margaret Black.
