Hi Sue, I had a quick look at those that were born just before the 1881 census, but could not find them all together, which I though was possible considering there ages. And no luck.

And the same on 1891. But then they would be at school or working by then.

So, keep up with the hunt.

Hopefully m/cert for Charles Trojan Bell and Annie Wallace should be here by weekend!!! (fingers x)

I am hoping this will open another door, I'm just getting impatient, Royal Mail is far to slow!!!!!!!!!!!

Busy life, got people to see, places to go, things to do, - very important things - like research my family tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No all joking aside, I have ordered it, so I suppose it is just a waiting game now?

Trouble is you spend so much on topping up credits for searching don't you, you could easily get through £40 a night (it ridiculous, should have been born a wag, then it wouldn't matter m.n.o.)

Thanks again Steve, appreciate your time.

Will post when cert arrives, it'll be like winning the lottery here!!!!:2fun:

Take care

I use Ancestry on a pay monthly basis, I used to use Genes. but found Ancestry cheaper in the long run.
Credits on Genes soon get used up on dead end searches.

Patience is something that I didn't have earlier on, but you soon realise you have to have it.

Thank you, was thinking about the pay monthly on Ancestry, but wasn't sure:confused:

Nice to know it is worth it - will get that sorted over next few days then, might help with the old 'credit crunch!'

I know I need to be patient, you know what it's like though, you think you are onto a sert and then it falls at the 1st hurdle, and this family history searching thing just keeps you searching and searching in the hope you will sometimes stumble upon what you need (know what you mean regarding the dead end's though!!!! you can look bitz up on a general search, try and pin it down on a census and it's no where to be found - nightmare!!!! and more money gone!!!)

I must have patients in my line of work, maybe by the time I get to do my own stuff I have just run out (only joking!! ), will take on board your advice and thank you so much for all your help tonight - really do appreciate it.

Off to get some Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's - brain cell needs a rest now - it's on overload, smoke pouring out now!!!!!!!! maybe postman will turn up tomoro with a certificate?????? you never know? fingers x.

Take care and happy searching..................

Thanks for confirming that info for me, just about to order bith cert!!!

In the meantime guess what arrived in post today? Yippee.......................

Marriage cert of Charles Trojan Bell and Annie Wallace (hurray)

Charles's dad was a: Tom Bell (deceased by 1902), an Inspector on the railways - I think I have traced him to have been born around 1847? in Doncaster, Yorkshire and married to a Betsy? (only query with that is on ancestry census 1881 - it doesn't show Charles Trojan as a child of theirs????)

Not sure if I am on right track with this guy?????

Would anybody be kind enough to be able to verify this for me please????

Would really appreciate it (until his birth cert arrives - which won't be until next week now)

Thanks millions you fab bunch at FHUK:2fun:

Patience, patience, Sue. Or you could overload yourself with a load of irrelevant info. and you could end up throwing your money down a dry well.

"Slow down and hurry up". as my Dad would say.
