I notice with the new NSW BMD index you don't get the Church Register Volume any more.
I also noticed with the marriage search you have to KNOW either the surname or the first given name or the middle name of the spouse.
The first is making you buy the copies of the old records from BMD rather than obtain the info by looking up films at various libraries when you know the Volume and the year and the #.
The second is all about reducing server load and damn who cares how difficult it makes it for those doing Family History.
