A possibility for the connection is the marriage but a couple censuses are bit out or I'm following the wrong one.

If these are Charles G's offspring, he was in NSW before 1897

25925/1897 EDWARDS MAVIS J CHARLES G ESTHER J ST LEONARDS
26030/1902 EDWARDS PHYLLIS E CHARLES G ESTHER J ST LEONARDS

So his wife would be Esther (fits with the E Edwards in the SMH)

I can't see an obvious marriage in NSW. There are a couple in England, but don't look right.

Hi Geoff,

It appears they are Charles's offspring. Lots of names in it that could help. Brides mother is noted as Mrs Beaumont so looks like a remarriage after Charles died.

The Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate
9 February 1918
WEDDING BELLS.

At St. Jamos's Church, Sydney, on Tuesday afternoon, tho Rev. Mr. Oollis officiated at tho marriage of Miss Mavis Edwards, daughter of tho late Mr. Charles Galbraith Edwards, of Killara, and Mr. 8. She carried a white Early Victorian posey. The bridesmaid's dainty white frock of white voile, inlet with Valon (ionnes and C'luny lace, was worn with a pale blue hat. She carried a pinTc posey. Mrs. Beaumont, mother of the bride, wearing a tailored suit of fawn gabard ine, and a hat to tone, received the wedding guests in the lounge of tho Carlton Hotel. The bride's travelling frock was of nattior bluo crepo-de-chine and georgette, with which she wore a nattier bluo hat.

I found a couple of possible arrivals for a master Chas T Edwards in in the mid 1870's but that was a Charles Thomas Edwards and he made a number of trips including the US..

There was a suggestion in one tree that Jean married a James Spensley also, no indication when

He was at one stage a traveller so he could have married anywhere:rolleyes:

Yes but death reg has her father as Charles.

Death 28972/1957 BEAUMONT ESTHER JANE - CHARLES - JANE - CHATSWOOD

But it's the right one although she waited 4 years to remarry. Youngest was only 6 when Charles G. died.
