Geoff

EDIT: My mistake, Vic.. See post #11.
Hi chaps,
Would anyone care to try and decipher the name and addresses of Charles Plaice's next of kin?
Charles married Jessie Ada White ( b 1891. Gillingham, Kent) on 7 Dec 1912, about six weeks before he sailed for Australia on 13 January 1913. Is there any evidence she travelled to Australia to join him or returned to England before 1921?

Under the '0' of 1880
Ada [possibly]
Wife Jesse ^ Plaice [feint 28 ?] Victoria St Rozelle Sydney
28 Victoria Street Sydney

Actually, it is Victoria Road, one of the longest roads in Sydney. The fact that the suburb of Rozelle has been removed could mean any Victoria street/road in any Sydney suburb.

Electoral Rolls for NSW jump from 1913 to 1930. Years 1915, 1917 and 1921 are on fiche at State Library. I will be visiting one day next week so will have a look assuming Division West Sydney.

I was at the State Library today not yesterday. No Plaice in the 1917 or 1919 electoral rolls for the area around 28 Victoria rd, Rozelle.
