ERNEST ANDREWS CO., Undertakers, King-street, Newtown.

THE FRIENDS of Mr. and Mrs. CHARLES TURTLE, Sen., are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of their deceased beloved SON, Charles Henry; ...

I'm totally confused but it seems I'm missing a birth and a death for a Charles Turtle.

TURTLE CHARLES M 2536/1855 V18552536 42B CHARLES MARY S

The only one in NSW index born 1855 +/- 2 years but middle initial should be H.

There should be a death after 1897 for another Charles.

Then there should be a Charles here. I had assumed there was not one because of the 1897 death.

Ok

Birth TURTLE CHARLES HENRY 4676/1878 CHARLES HENRY - LYDIA - NEWTOWN

The one who married Lydia in 1875 was under age so he was the one born 1855.

Or that's the town clerk ??

It's rather hard to follow gibbo. :) It goes back to 1819 in NSW.

The only puzzle is that NAA record and which Charles it is.

Perhaps this one.

Death TURTLE CHARLES HENRY 599/1953 CHARLES HENRY - LYDIA - BURWOOD

It is solved

Title Turtle, Charles Henry; age 39; born - Newtown NSW [occupation - town clerk]
Contents date range 1917 - 1917

1878 + 39 = 1917
