Hi all.

Charlotte Burnham, parents Joseph Burnham & Lydia(nee.Allen).

With family in 1851, Saunderton, & 1871 census, in Ilmir, Bucks.

Not found in 1861.

Possible marriage to John Nichols in 1879. Wycombe Dist.

If this marriage is correct, her p.o.b is given as Illmire in 1891, Bledlow in 1911, but not found in 1901.

So, a bit of a mixed bag really.:biggrin:

Can't find the family in 1861 so Heaven only knows how they have been transcribed. Can't see Charlotte in 1901 either. Sorry.

I'll pencil in what I've found as I can't narrow down the childrens mothers maiden name for the Nichols/Nickols/Nicholls children, but I'll give that another go later this evening.

Have found the following birth regs but ages don't match the Census

Mary Nichols Mar 1880 Wycombe 3a 599 mmn Burnham
Sarah Matilda Nichols Sep 1881 Wycombe 3a 600 mmn Burnham
Mary Nichols Sep 1883 Wycombe 3a 612 mmn Burnham
Alfred Nichols Jun 1885 Wycombe 3a 651 mmn Burnham

Not sure how this fits with the number of children mentioned in the 1911 Census as next to John's name it says 3 children born 3 living 2 dead all crossed out
and next to Charlotte's name is 3 born 3 living.

Haven't time to check the deaths at the moment.

Ages and names seem to be always a problem with the Allens, and the enumerators chicken scratch.:2fun:

I just this moment found Charlotte BURNAM, b1851. Santon, Buckinghamshire, in Towersey, Bucks, in 1861 census. Sister in law to William Baverstock(who married Emma Burnham).

Emma 'Baberstock' is down as Mary......so Charlotte helped with finding them in 1861.:2fun:

A 'twofer'.

So that's sorted that bit.
