Just had a long chat with a long lost part of my family!
I was amazed that he seemed to know half the family, my grans sister but he didn't know my gran existed.
I just cannot get over how secretive the older generations were, so secretive with what they knew.
It really makes me want to put all the info I have on the family in a safe place for future generations to read(if they like)

My husband's nephew spent a week end with us not long back. We got talking about the family and he was quiet surprised when i told him he had a half aunt and uncle from his grandfather's first marriage. He didnt know anything about them and didnt even know his grandfather had been married twice. He was amazed his father had 2 half siblings and knew about them but had never mentioned them.

I should do the same thing

Here's a confusing one ;)

My brother in law had a affair with a married woman and got her pregnant. The woman's husband took the child on as his own. The marriage didnt survive and the woman's husband a few years later married my sister in law. Yep he married the sister of the fella who got his first wife pregnant. That marriage didnt last neither.

It is common knowledge among family that the child belongs to my brother in law but in generations to come on one will be any the wiser as on official documents the child belongs to the husband.

I could write a book on this family

Peter's right, no need for evidence, films are not made on fact, so don't worry, it will be called poetic licence and you can just count the dollars!!:2fun::2fun:

Gibbo, apologies, forgot to add, all you have to do for the film is get George Clooney and Meryl Streep and you'll be a star..................more than you are now of course!:2fun::2fun:
