Thomas, who is actually William's stepson is a Brittannic Metal Smith. In 1871 he is a White Metal Smith.

Not sure who Sarah is in the 1861 Census - she cannot be William's wife as he married Phoebe Hanson nee Mitchell in 1853 and Phoebe is with him in 1871. Anyway whoever Sarah is, her birthplace is given as Nottinghamsh. which I take to be Nottinghamshire.

Still doesn't help identify Sarah. As she is the same age as Phoebe I think it may have been an error by the enumerator who entered the wrong name.
