Silvia Pankhurst lived at this delightfull blue painted house...these houses are ten yards from the Thames...i drive past them on Chelsea embankment alot,but didnt realise the lovely litle house behind the trees was once ware the great artist Turner lived...as i stood outside the house today i tried to imagine Turner looking across the Thames...and getting thaughts for his masterpieces...........it was a very saught after area to live(before the motor car)....Silvia mostly used this house to live while debating in parliament...mainly on womans rights.........she died in 1960 aged 78.
