I've found two more baptisms

Sophia 7 Feb 1790 and Robert 18 March 1792

Have a look at the site theweald.org there are a few more details about Francis and Mary on there

http://theweald.org/N10.asp?NId=4584150

Hopefully the above link will work, if not go to genealogy, click on F and the Furneaux/Furner, pre1800 at the top of the page then Francis Smith Furner.

Thanks Emeltee.

The link worked. CofE baptism.

No marriage or death for Charles there or on any tree I've looked at.

No Brede burials before 1800.

No St George Brede records for any Furner.

Furner/Turner in E Sussex and Kent 1800 +/- 40 years is a problem.

Thanks Geoff.

Thomas is a problem as it's a common name. One family had two sons named Thomas so one must have died 0-4 years.

Might be difficult to work out which Thomas is which.

That does not fit for Ann who married Francis (d. 1819) so may have remarried. Not with her married daughter in 1841.

Judith married Stephen and he remarried as a tree has a burial at Brede in 1897 for Judith ??

Deaths Jun 1839 FURNER Stephen Rye 7 309

Be back later Geoff when the rain returns.

Took another look at Thomas, I didn't check the variant 'Turner' - there is this..

24 Jul 1805
Thomas TURNER
[No age given]
Brede, St George

19 Nov 1809
Thomas TURNER
[No age given]
Brede, St George

Thanks Geoff.

Some of the baptisms are Turner.

That's a problem with Susannah as I only have one.

I'm trying to get the Turner changed to Furner in the NSW BDM index.

William Furner & Susannah Sargent but now the marriage is either

3 Feb 1799 Ticehurst, Sussex

or Dec 1798 Brede, Sussex

or both.

Susannah born 1769 Ticehurst so 1839 burial.

Not RD Rye.

Deaths Sep 1839 TURNER Susanna [70] Battle 7 150
