FROME NONAGENARIAN DEAD
The death has occurred at Oakfield Road, Frome, of Mr Joseph Lear Peacock, aged 97. Mr Peacock was the second son of the late Mr J. Lear Peacock, of Cottles Oak, Frome, a retired railway contractor, who made the railway from Bristol to Frome via Radstock.
Mr Peacock was born at the Mumbles Swansea, during the time his father was carrying out his contract with the G.W.R., making the line from Swansea to Carmarthen and Haverford West in 1843.

No mother's maiden name for the first child but is James the first? Can't use the marriage as a guide as it was in 1859. Is Mary Jane the last?
If the dob in 1939 Register is correct then we have a problem - Sep Q 1842 and Nov 1842. Age at death for James points to abt 1843. In 1861 census James points to 1843 and Joseph to 1846. A gap between 1846 and 1850.
Also looking for any burial records.
