Childrens Homes West Brom, Aston

Does anyone know where the record for childrens homes are kept, Im not sure what home he was in but it could have been near aston villa football stadium. If any one has access to these records my Grandfather was Cyril Broughton he had three brothers Laurence, and twins William and John and a sister called Emily but also known as Margaret.
they probably where put in a home early 1920`s thanks Elaine

Thanks for al of that sorry but i already had al that info but thanks anyway trying to find out about the childrens home they lived in after their mother Georgina died thanks again Dave Elaine
