Hi

I have a Rev Christopher Cookson (B abt 1823 - D1874) of Dallington, (son of Christopher and Ann Cookson) married to Harriet (born abt 1827). They had 6 children all born in Dallington (I think) :

Christopher B1861
Hugh Cecil B1862
Ethel Mary B1864
Sidney Robert B
Harry Eustace B1863
Geoffrey Montague B 1867

Somehow they are connected to 'my' Cooksons - these are 'my' Cooksons:
William (born abt 1668) m Dorothy ?. I only have record of 2 f their children:
Elizabeth
William (c1711 – 1787

William Cookson (c1711 – 1787) married Dorothy Crackenthorpe. They had 4 children that I know of:
Thomas
Christopher Craceknthorpe
Ann (who married the poet William Wordsworth)
William (1754 – 1820) who married Dorothy (second generation with the same parental names… )

William Cookson of Penrith (1754 – 1820) m. Dorothy. I only have record of 2 children – there may possibly have been others. Their children were:
1. Christopher who possibly was in the Indian army. He was older than his brother George. I am not sure if he married.

And

2. George Osmond Cookson (1793 1848) m Elizabeth Ancrum – they had 9 children:
Dorothea
Leila
Laura
Eva
Bertha
Emma
Mary
William Edgar de Crackenthorpe Cookson
Adelia
Osmond

Any idea how these families are connected?
