Hello Jackie
I took an interest in Christopher Cookson years ago, as my family have the same surname and hail from Northampton from about 1817. Most Cookson's originate from 'up North'; my own Cookson's were from Cheshire in the 1700's at least. I don't think our Cookson families are related at all; mine were poor labourers but I have a little information on your family in my database.
Christopher Cookson was the Vicar of St Mary the Virgin, Dallington, Northampton. He died around 1870. If there is anything I can look for in the Dallington registers just let me know. I could look to see if that is where Christopher is buried.
Regards
Janet

Thank you for your kind offer. I do have some of the above information, but could you please check for a burial for Christopher and his wife Harriet Charlotte Walker. I know that Christopher died in 1874.

Kind regards
Jackie

Hello Jackie
Dallington Parish Registers
St Mary The Virgin

Burials
1874 February 24

The Rev'd Christopher Cookson BS Vicar aged 50 by T A Walker Off Min;

The Grave Yard closed in 1878, though, so I could not find Christopher's wife's burial record.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes
Janet
