Hi,

Tryint to find the father of a James Collins on the 1881 census
he was 41 could you look it up for me on the 1861 census and see if anything comes up. his wife was louisa cooke his mother was Jane she was born 1802
or there abouts

But I can't find a birth for him hope you can help if you need more info let me know. I am hoping to go to Farnham next year so things mabe a bit easier

Jane Collins head age 55 widow born Newbury Berkshire

Civil parish of Farnham there is a James Collins age 40 occ ag lab born in county
Jane Collins age 35 not born in county
William Collins age 6 born in county
James age 4 born in county

1851 looks like the family from 1841

Found this christening on the LDS site:-

James Collins christened 16-4-1837 Farnham Surrey, father James Collins mother Jane. If this is your James there wont be a birth certificate as registration didnt start until June 1837.
