Yes. I ran Win 2000 for a long time and then XP Corp for a long time and then put Win 7 on my latest system. ;)
I've done the whole set from Win 95, but Vista was a huge mistake. But I persevered in hope, but all to no avail.
Couldn't be bothered to go back to XP, so I deserve all the stress for being a lazy 'B'.:2fun: :2fun:

Well. The cassette tapes in the original PET were a real pain. My 2nd system was a 16k Business PET with the dual floppy drive the size of 4 house bricks. :D

The 6502 processor in the PET was interesting. You could peek and poke (read and write) to a few I/O ports. I connected it to a VHS tape drive remote control input and wrote a program on the PET that would fast forward and stop and play various VHS tapes.

Just googled PET.

PET 2001 series / 2001-N & -B series, CBM 3000 series

CPU: 6502, 1 MHz
RAM: 4 or 8 KB / 8, 16, or 32 KB

MY new one-

CPU - 2.8 GHz and 4GB RAM.

How techno moves on. :2fun: :2fun:

Yes, it certainly does. Yes CBM = Commodore Business Machine - mine had a whopping 32k. :2fun:

My current system has a 360 Gb and a 1Tb hd and 8 Mb RAM. It will keep me happy for a few more years.

Hope this new lasts longer, as the pile of old ones outside the window is beginning to look bad.
The neighbors are starting to complain about the pile of scrap.:2fun:
