Can any of them be found in 1911? Possibly the whole family came to Australia and not just Douglas and Hector McD. I don't know if that is McDonald or McDonnel or if it is his mother's maiden name.

Thanks Gibbo. :)

I can't see the family or Hector on that FMP list, but there is a D. Cooper with no date of birth.

It appears the family come out here. His father was here.

WW1 army records for Hector has next of kin - father William Cooper, 112 Joseph St Ashfield.

Still reading the records

Edited.. Douglas has WW1 records as well. Mother noted as Jane Cooper. Her address is noted as Billimarie western lines??. That was hard to read. Father William has a letter in Douglas's file to the army stating that Jane spends most of her time on their son's farm [billimarie??] and that Joseph Street is their town address.

Edited again  Billimarie is actually Bon Accord Billimari NSW:rolleyes:
Yeah i know still dont help with a passenger list  Looking for the whole family arriving now

Thanks. That's progress of sorts. :D

So we know Colin also arrived. Southport is not where the others were born. So perhaps they were there to board a vessel. ???

Births Mar 1902
Cooper Colin Ormskirk 8b 880

Looks as though William & Jane married in Scotland.

No luck with the marriage so far. Looks like they were still in Scotland in 1881.

William COOPER & Jane Ann LEDINGHAM 1888 St Nicholas, Aberdeen

I don't know yet if that is the right marriage.

This one fits the one in the marriage but mother in death reg does not match:

Jane Ann Ledingham
Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
birth: 12 Mar 1861 PREMNAY,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
residence: 1861 Aber, Scotland
parents: John Ledingham, Elspet Hall

Sorry to butt in, as I forum-surf redf)

Elspeth is the Scottish form of Elizabeth, so I think you have them :)
Remember the Scottish accent changes the sound of names :)
