Hi all Iam intouch with a aunt and a few cousins and now know I have the right family. my Cooper family all lived at or aroud Itchen Ferry. 1791 on
Ihave been lucky that my research has all been ok'ed by them.
They have told me beside the Golding we are related to the Parker's and Unwin's and more to come I am waiting for ex-at info I am told that Thomas & Ann Unwin are my g g uncle & aunt So a idea that I could find dad's root's has grown some it's a bit hard to explain no family to I have relatives in a month. I m only 56 so I have 20 years at lest to find out more

I got this message from my cousin im related to the parker though richard t
vie the diaper family 4th great grandfather mark diaper b1725. daniel parker m mary diaper had richard.[yes I know the story] And one of my 2nd great grandmothers was anne diaper b1821. I now need to go and look all this up so I can understand it .[well maybe] any help welcome Glen

Hi all I have received a cd from my cousin in southampton and I have a Eleanor Parker b1714 mJohn Paskens - daughter Sarah m Henry Unwin.
son Henry m Mary Jurd - son John Unwin m Ann Diaper .
there daughter Hannah first married a Woodford then Henry T Cooper.
Hannah and Henry are my g grandparent.If you are there Ed is she one of yours' all the above are from Itchen and close by

Hi,

I haven't been able to find a connection but.

When Thomas Parker Married Elizabeth Cozens in March 1855 the witnesses were Richard Diaper and Harriet Diaper.

Thomas was born in itchen ferry.

Thomas's father was Thomas Parker, born 1799, Married Martha Thompson

Thomas was I am told drowned in 1828 with Martha's brother James Thompson.

Hi Edward,

Is your Harriett born abt 1840, if so in 1841 there is a Harriett Cooper with a Harriett Cooper born abt 1806 and Thomas Cooper born abt 1806. In 1851 Thomas's yob is given abt 1803 and Harrietts 1804.

HI Ed Ihad a look have a lot of Thomas's but not the right date I will look some more .The same name's keep going Chalk married into the tree 3 times and I found 2 more Parker's.-James Cooper b1818 m Ann Parker b 1821 daughter of Henry Parker &Hannah How.--Henry Parker b 1797 m 1797 m Ann Cooper b 1799 . The Cooper side is all done but I will have a go at the repeat names and see if I can join them up. then the Goldings they came from Downton Wiltshire abt 1858 so lot;s to do. all the best Glen

Hi Glen,

The only Unwin that I currently have in my tree is:

Harriet Jane Unwin (B 1870 Itchen) married Frank Cozens (b 1870 Weston) in Q4 1893

I don't have ny further information about Harriet. Frank was the son of George Pike Cozens and Emma Trodd.

The Parkers appear to have come from Itchin whereas the Cozens come from Weston.

My Parkers need sorting out I havn't manager to get the family to link up very well as yet.

Hi Ed Harriet Jane's dad Thomas Unwin is my ggrandmother's Hannah Cooper's [nee Uwin] brother there are more but I want to check them out first.If you come across any Chalk's let me know they seem to marry into the Cooper & Golding family about 4 time's and i can not find them any were else. Harriet Jane's parents were Elizabeth Ann ?? and Thomas Unwin

So we have found a link between the two trees with Harriet Jane.
