Hi g d Cooper,

I had a look through the complete marriage index up to the end of December 1940, there are quite a few Violet and Harry Coopers. Found a couple of possibilities, see what your think.

1932

Apr/May/Jun 1/4
Harry Cooper
District Southampton
Spouses name Higham

Chose this one because of the area, there are many Harry (T) Cooper in various areas.

1934

Jul/Aug/Sept 1/4
District Southampton
Violet Cooper
Spouses name Calloway

1939

Apr/May/Jun 1/4
District Southampton
Violet M Cooper
Spouses name Jackson

1940

Oct/Nov/Dec 1/4
District Portsmouth
Violet M Cooper
Spouses name Anslow

Again chose these because of the area as there are many in various areas.

Hi Glen,

I have been researching Parker, Trodd and Cozens all living in Southampton St Mary's Extra. Mostly looked at Weston as that is where my Grandmother was born.

My avatar is from a photo me standing by the floating bridge between Woolston and Southampton Woolston was previously known as Itchen Ferry.

I don't if smith cottage is still there would be happy to look next time I go that way but would need to have an idea as to where it is which would mean finding the census entry for the cottage. We only found Elsie and Florinda Cottages in Weston almost by accident.

Best of luck with the research.

Ed
