got my first death certificate and found the Philip Cambourne (died 1897 aged 42, Mile End Old Town Eastern county of London) died though violent strangulation - suicide. It looks as though an inquest was held on the 5th June 1897. Where can I find this information ?

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt

You could try the local paper for the area and time of the inquest.
While you are doing that I will rack by brains and notes of which there are many, to see where else you can look

Hi Matt

I Googled Coroners Inquests and where to find records for 1890's . Try it and see for yourself. Quite interesting, as they were the personal record of the coroner and many were destroyed. You may be lucky
