I have just been on the phone to my sister-in-law to organise a visit when I'm over in England next week.
She told me, that as lass (she is now 70) she worked in Cockhedge cotton mill in Warrington, along with her mother.
I found this:- http://www.1museumstreet.co.uk/gateway/gatewaywarr1/Templates/work_picgallery_textiles.htm
She said it had not changed that much when she was there.
Steve.
