Could somebody check and see if this is likely to be the right person please?

Hi All,

I would like opinions as to whether Ellen Kilshaw and Ellen Chandler are the same person.

Her husband Stanley Chandler was born 1855, his place of birth Kington, Herefordshire.

On the 1881 census he was living with his wife who was called
Ellen & in Newton-In-Makerfield, Lancashire.

To find Ellen's maiden name I tried to find a marriage. The only marriage I could find for Stanley Chandler was this reference as follows. This is 1878 which would fit.

Kilshaw Ellen Warrington 8c 172
OWEN Edward Warrington 8c 172

The only doubt I have is that on the census Ellen Chandler was born 1852 in Burtonwood, Lancashire and this is consistent in all censuses after she was married.

I have looked up Ellen Kilshaw and although the birth year fits, all censuses in that name shows her birthplace as Rainhill, Lancashire. I know that these two places are not that far away from each other so it is possible but I just don't want to make it fit if you get me.

Could it be possible that that marriage is not the right one?

If the 1851 birth is the correct one, the Reg Dist covers Rainhill.
