Hello cp,

Great find. :D Thank you very much.

I don't see it in NSW or Qld BMD, even as a late reg.

It does not actually say where the marriage was held. From the minister's name it was probably a Primitive Presbyterian marriage.

Regards,

Dave

Hello cp,

I've been searching for info on Job TWINE.

Job TWINE, his wife Ann CUMBERLAND and their four children (William, Elizabeth, Robert Cumberland and Ann) left England in 1849 for Australia aboard the ship “Lima”.

Upon their arrival they settled in Wickham Terrace.
That is, Brisbane.

Job died in 1877, Ann in 1879. Both are buried in Moggill Cemetery.
So where is eldest daughter Frances C. Already in Queensland. ??? Born in England?

I can't find Frances in shipping records.

arrival: Lima

Destination: Queensland 1849 Nov 6

I can't find the TWINE family on the Queensland shipping list.

Regards,

Dave

Only one tree has further information on Charles TAPP.
South Australia Death Index has no record, so can't confirm.

Charles Tapp
Birth 17 Nov 1855 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia
Death 5 Jan 1880 in Palmer, South Australia, Australia
Marriage 5th Jan 1877 to Catherine Sarah Palmer
Parents
Frank Tapp 1832 – 1890
Mary Ann Denning 1828 – 1889
Some things don't add up. Albury and date could be errors.

Marriage 2672/1881 TAPP CHARLES - PALMER CATHERINE S - ALBURY

Australian Town and Country Journal (NSW : 1870 - 1907) - Saturday 22 January 1881 p.42
MARRIAGES
TAPP-PALMER.-January 5, at St. Jude's Church, Tumbarumba, by the Rev. W. White, incumbent of Adelong, Charles, eldest son of Frank Tapp, Esq., Sterling Farm, Cudal, near Orange, to Catherine Sarah, eldest daughter of Rodber Palmer, Esq., S.C.L., Oxon., C.B. catechist of Tumbarumba, and grand-daughter, of the late George Thomas Palmer, Esq., Lieutenant of H.M. 61st Regiment of Foot, likewise grand-daughter of the late Rev. George Augustus Middleton, A.M. St. John's College, Cantab., and for many years chaplain at Newcastle, New South Wales, and niece of the Hon. Charles Campbell, Esq., M.P., Barrister-at-law, and Chancellor of the diocese of Goulburn.

It's a wonder they didn't mention her great-great-grandparents. :2fun:

Death 3374/1918 TAPP CATHERINE S - RODBER W - ISABELLA L - RYDE

The Sydney Morning Herald - Tuesday 29 January 1918 p.6
DEATHS
TAPP.-January 24, 1918 at Ryde, Catherine Sarah, wife of Charles Tapp, formerly of Cudal, at the age of 64 years.

I can't find a death for Charles. I doubt very much he died on 5 Jan 1880, as per one tree.

Death 4112/1890 TAPP FRANK - CHARLES - CATHERINE - CARGO

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 24 May 1890 p.1
Deaths
TAPP.-May 9, at his residence, Stirling, Cudal, Frank Tapp, aged 58.

Searching finds very little on Charles TAPP. Several in other parts of the world but not the one in Australia.
