Daisy still alive. This one does not seem to fit.

MACKENZIE Daisy Death notice 24SEP1975 Death late of Coffs Harbour Sydney Morning Herald 27SEP1975

Looking for a death for Daisy. Any remarriage ? won't be in the index.

Thanks,

Dave

Dunno gibbo.

Maiden name Harris so no birth for Daisy.

Death notice did not seem to fit at all, unless she remarried but then listed children would not be hers but those of her 2nd spouse. No mention of known daughter Shirley.

1949 NSW Electoral Roll - Farrer - Coolamon
MACKENZIE Wallace Bruce, Commercial Banking Co. Res., bank mgr.
MACKENZIE Daisy, Commercial Banking Co. Residence, home duties
MACKENZIE Shirley, Commercial Banking Co. Residence, home dut.

Marriage 14806/1949 FURNER ERIC MENZIES - MACKENZIE SHIRLEY - COOLAMON ** 16 Apr 1949

Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga, NSW : 1911 - 1954) - Thursday 6 January 1949 p.2
ENGAGEMENT
FURNER - MACKENZIE.-The Engagement is announced of Shirley, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Mackenzie, Commercial Bank, Coolamon, to Eric, third son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Furner, "The Echoes" Coolamon.

So, more than one daughter but I only know of Shirley.

Possible 7 in NSW and one birth in Narrabri

23600/1898 HARRIS DAISY - JOHN W - MABEL - NARRABRI

This looks the right birth with an error for his initial:

14484/1900 MACKENZIE WALLACE F - ANGUS - MARGARET - MOSMAN

Late of 2 Short st Coffs H

wife of Jim

mother of ... Slack, ...

Ruled out by this marriage:

1851/1959 MACKENZIE JAMES STRATTON - SLACK DAISY - SYDNEY

This looks the right birth with an error for his initial:

14484/1900 MACKENZIE WALLACE F - ANGUS - MARGARET - MOSMAN

Born 30th May 1900
Margaret MacKenzie mother next of kin

MacKenzie Wallace Bruce : SERN DEPOT N93318 : POB Sydney NSW : POE Dubbo NSW : NOK M MacKenzie Margaret

Seems only two children if it's the right Daisy

23600/1898 HARRIS DAISY JOHN W MABEL NARRABRI
5426/1900 HARRIS STELLA M JOHN W MABEL NARRABRI

Oh, no help:

Death 13930/1904 HARRIS STELLA M JOHN W MABEL NARRABRI

Probably the right Daisy and a death after 1969.

MACKENZIE Daisy, 115 Oliver street, Harbord, home duties

It's not the Cowper one.

Daisy Mackenzie 1972 New South Wales Warringah
Daisy Mackenzie 1977 New South Wales Warringah
Daisy Mackenzie 1980 New South Wales Manly ** That's an error Manly is not a Division. It has to be either Warringah or Mackellar.

Thanks gibbo.

I'll have to search the fiche at the State Library for years after 1980 assuming Mackellar or Warringah.

Like you said it’s not the Daisy Mackenzie who died in 1975, looking at her death notice has different children to Wallace Bruce Mackenzie 1969 death notice. Hard to say if Daisy remarried after 1969.
Wallace is buried at Northern Suburbs I think now it’s Macquarie Park Cemetery ?? Maybe worth a check.

Edit: Post 10

1968 Wallace and Daisy at the address below.

1972 & 1977 115 Oliver Street Harbord living with Daisy
Annette Mackenzie & Roger Bruce Mackenzie

Thanks Rupert.

That's GREGORY and CARR.

There are two. The old Northern Suburbs Crematorium is still only a crematorium. The old Northern Suburbs Cemetery a bit further west didn't have a crematorium but it does now and is now called Macquarie Park.

I checked Macquarie Park for a burial for Daisy and no luck.
