ACCIDENT. — Mr. Job Manning, of the Rose and Crown Inn, Bathurst, and one of the spirited Van proprietors of this district, met with a rather serious accident on 'Wednesday last. He was preparing to load a van for the Lachlan, and having to move a case which was near to one of the horses, the animal struck out and kicked Mr. Manning on the face, inflicting a frightful gash across the cheek, and driving him with great force against one of the wheels of the van. Dr. Maclhattie being sent for, Mr. Manning was immediately conveyed home, and his injuries dressed. Tlhe wounds are of such a character as considerably to affect his health, and he is necessarily confined to his room ; we are glad however to learn from Dr. Machattie, that quiet and care, will most likely restore his patient to good health.
