SHIP NEWS.-The ship 'Northampton', Captain
Tween, arrived from England on Sunday with 106
female prisoners, having lost 4 of her original com-
lement during the vovage; namely, Eliz. Cowan,
and Ann Turner, at Rio; the latter of whom fell
overboard and was drowned , Susan Frost died at
sea after leaving Rio; and Mrs. Shirwell died a
a fortnight before the vessel's arrival at this Port.
Mrs. Dedman, a free passenger, and her two chil-
dren, were buried at Rio; Mrs. Noble lost one
child, Mrs Drake two, and Mrs Higgins one:

How do they know the names of the children?

Wife Sarah and children Mary 10 and Elizabeth 8 arrived aboard the 'Northampton' June 18th 1815. Samuel 5 and Sarah 3 died on the voyage out.

Thanks gibbo. :)

This voyage of the Northampton is the first of those which had a naval surgeon regularly appointed to care for the convicts after the disastrous losses on the Surry and General Hewitt in 1814.
Daniel arrived on the 'General Hewitt' in 1814.

Harry Bell had come on board from a hulk moored at Portsmouth where he had been sent after being convicted of stealing billiard balls.

All the trees have Daniel's death in 1869 Bathurst but so far I can't find anything that shows he moved from Lower Minto near Liverpool to Bathurst.

Deaths

2861/1869 DRAKE DAVID AGE 87 YEARS DIED BATHURST BATHURST

V1851619 37B/1851 DRAKE DANIEL
V18521533 38B/1852 DRAKE DANIEL

That means there are 3x Daniel in NSW.

No births in NSW 1788 - 1869 in index for a Daniel. And one birth for a David:

3678/1863 DRAKE DAVID H - DAVID - SUSAN - PADDINGTON

I can find nothing in TROVE in July 1869.
