No birth recorded under Daniel, but there is one under William Free, 1850. Wycombe.R.D. mmn - Ives.
Are these one and the same person., would you think.

All records point to Daniel Free. Married to Matilda Tomlin, 1874. Wendover, Bucks.. He gives fathers name as William Free, Occ Stone mason. (Stone cutter).

As William's birth was registered Dec quarter 1850 and Daniel is aged 4 months in the 1851 Census I'd say that they are one and the same. Parents obviously had a change of mind over the name.

It seems his death was registered under William Free, in 1936, (Aylesbury R.D.) Aston Clinton. But buried under Daniel Free.

Well, that's Bucks folk for you.
