Daniel McFarlane - Occupations: Collier, Iron Stone Miner, Iron Miner

Date of Birth: Approx 1794-98 (depending on the records) Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
I am trying to locate his parents, clearly, they are not on the census (as he only appears in 1841 census prior to his death).
I have found his burial register, however his death certificate is not on Scotlands People.

I hope I have this right

Daniel McFarlane - 1st marriage to Janet Smith - 6th December 1819 *Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland
6th December 1819 Birth of daughter Jane (Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland), have baptism and burial register entry.
Abt. 1823 Birth of son Daniel (Johnston, Renfrewshire, Scotland) *Still need baptism certificate and to locate lair.
10th August 1824 Birth of son James (Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland)
6th July 1827 Birth of daughter Margaret (Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland) *Margarets baptism records state they live at Johnstone
6th January 1830 Birth of Janet (Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland)
1831 Birth of James (Scotland) *Still need certificate.
1834 Birth of daughter Janet (Lanarkshire, Scotland) *Still need certificate
16th January 1835 - Birth of Mary (Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland), have baptism and burial register entry.
1835 - Birth of Catherine (Lanarkshire, Scotland)

The ones above that still need certificates I need to confirm they are children of Daniel and Janet, and not Marions from another marriage.

2nd Marriage to Marion Watt - 26th March 1837 Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
1838 - Birth of Christina (in census named Christian), Lanarkshire, Scotland
3rd August 1839 - Birth of William, Hamilton Hill, Lanarkshire, Scotland (this is who I descend from)
3rd May 1842 - Birth of Marion, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.
In 1842 they live at Keppoch Hill as stated in Marions baptism register.
18th August 1843 - Birth of Henry, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland
Abt. 1844 - Birth of Edward

Daniel dies on 27th January 1847 (no death certificate on Scotlands People) but I have found the burial register. Sadly his 12 year old daughter Mary dies on the same day. They are buried together. The lair is owned by Daniel, son of Janet.
In the lair is
Daniel McFarlane
Mary McFarlane
Jane McFarlane and the last one I have located without a script book is
Daniel McFarlane (grandson of Daniel. Parents are his son Daniel with Isabella Colquhorn)
** Son Daniel in the 1851 Census lives at 26 Society Row, with his wife as also does Marion (Watt) McFarlane.

Last known address prior to death as stated on Daniels death certificate was
'Red Row', North Woodside Road, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

So my question is: As there is no death certificate on Scotlands People, how would I find out who Daniel's parents where. (I could try the Leeds method with my Dna matches which would take months) Any suggestions??

For those interested: Marion Watt is buried in a different cemetery, her lair was owned by Ms David Suter (which was her daughter Marion McFarlane), also buried in there is her Grandson Edward who was brother to my Grandfather (EdwardsParents: William McFarlane x Agnes McGregor). There is no script number so when I get spare time I may just sit and read the burial register entrys to find any more with the same number.

Daniel McFarlane (1798-1847) - Find a Grave Memorial
Daughter Mary
Mary McFarlane (1834-1847) - Find a Grave Memorial
Daughter Jane
Jane McFarlane (1819-1850) - Find a Grave Memorial
Grandson Daniel (son of Daniel)
Daniel McFarlane (1850-1851) - Find a Grave Memorial
These are the ones buried together (as per lair numbers) in Southern Necropolis, Glasgow. I have uploaded their burial entries are uploaded to their page whilst I await a photo. Second wife Marion Watt McFarlane is buried elsewhere.
The lair was owned by son Daniel McFarlane - unfortunately the interment register was damaged on the dates the son Daniel would have been buried so will need to find the script book to see if there was a payment around that date. His death certificate does state he is buried in the Southern Necropolis (although it is in one of the missing volumes on Family Search - Volumes 4 and 5 are missing, his should be in volume 5).

From a video I had recently watched on researching Scotlands records it states that there was a period that BDMs did not compulsory need to be registered. I was too distracted and didn't take note of that period of time.

I've looked through deaths/burials in ScotsPeople. 1841 - 1855. There is only one in 1847, and that was child aged 5.

Can you confirm where Daniel was buried.?
Southern Necropolis, Glasgow - Ive put the link to Find A Grave below and uploaded the burial register to each of their profiles.
