Ive been in contact with the wife of the Grandson of Keith. Keith was 'father unknown' and was raised by Daniel Mcfarlane from a young age until he was 15 or 16 years old, in his later life and until his death Daniel Mcfarlane lived with Keith and his wife Elizabeth at 2 Church Street, Parramatta/Harris Park where they had a boarding house.

She was unsure why they used the Mcfarlane surname in the death notice, however Ms H Smith was a lady who Daniel had left some money too in his will. The spelling was wrong as they unsure how it was actually spelt.

Keith is actually
Keith Barron -
B: 20 March 1909 Annandale, New South Wales, Australia
D: 27 July, 1982 Auburn, Sydney, NSW

Keiths mother was,
Rose Matilda Barron
B:19 Apr 1886 Copeland Street, Paddington, Queensland, Australia
D:16 Jun 1965 Waratah, New South Wales, Australia
Father is unknown but was always suspected to be a Macfarlane.

Keith's wife is:
Elizabeth Mary Alma Bull
B: 1 Jun 1907 Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia
D:24 January 1979 Parramatta, NSW Australia

I have no idea, Im in touch with Carries (Caroline Simmons relatives from her side) and have photos of the same. Im assuming its not Robert Grant Macfarlanes wife Caroline (called Carrie). I will ask the Macfarlanes and see if they know.

I have my Paternal grandfather Robert Grants will and he lends his niece Dulcie Pike enough to buy 100 houses (yes you read that right) interest free.... wonder who Dulcie Pike is? The only Dulcie Pike Ive found on Trove was a hospital Matron at St Lukes.

Ive uploaded some grave photos on Ancest. if your a member
1. William Macfarlane and Agnes (McGregor)
2. William Macfarlane and Margaret Elder
3. Daniel Macfarlane (unmarked grave).
4. Archibald Carswell (unmarked grave, will ring tomorrow and see if Agnes Allan Macfarlane is with him).
5. James McGregor Macfarlane and Mary Ann Rebecca Pike
6. Robert Grant Macfarlane (which Ive had the photo of for a while).

David, Ive looked at the tree from a Simmons relative who knows alot of their family History.. The Catherine is the Catherine Johns who married James Macfarlane. Catherine was Mary Ann Simmons (Johns) sister.

Catherine Johns
Birth:

Name: Catherine Johns
Birth Date: Abt 1854
Birth Place: Will, Victoria
Registration Year: 1854
Registration Place: Victoria, Australia
Father: Thomas Johns
Mother: Caroline Weston
Registration Number: 2209

Marriage:
Name: Catherine Johns
Spouse Name: James Mcfarlane
Marriage Place: Victoria
Registration Place: Victoria
Registration Year: 1873
Registration Number: 1814

Death:

Death Date: 1937
Death Place: New South Wales
Father's Name: Thomas

Thanks Jo.

That solves one problem but how does that James McFarlane fit in. Or maybe only by marriage.

For Dulcie to be a niece that Alfred John would have to be a brother of

Birth 1871 PIKE Mary Ann Rebecca - Alfred - Sarah BARNETT b. Talbot, Vic. #14863

who married J McG McF.

Yes, I've not found his death yet so can't say if connection is just by marriage.

The Pike connection should be to Mary Ann Rebecca but does not seem to be.

If niece is correct and not grand niece then Dulcie has to be a daughter or a daughter-in-law of a sibling of M A R.
