There is nothing more on the image of the marriage. That bit is in another topic. Don't know if PM = Police Magistrate or not. Could not find the right spelling for the name. NSW had a number of 'guardian commissioners' who if the minor had no relations would decide if the marriage could take place. Can't find a list of those commissioners.

Don't know why it is in three volumes but can't look any up beyond 123.

CRAWLEY DAVID 2205/1832 V18322205 125 DAVID CAROLINE

CRAWLEY DAVID 2161/1832 V18322161 127 DAVID CAROLINE

CRAWLEY DAVID 2205/1832 V18322205 128 DAVID CAROLINE

There are more then 40 volumes from 124 onwards that have not been filmed.

Geoff

I could ask NSW BDM but replies to my queries are running 9 months behind. But I have sent hundreds of queries.

There are no films and no books of transcriptions in the library. BDM have the volumes in storage. Normal queries of the index are easy because they can pull up the image. I've only asked for a few volumes to be taken out of storage. I have a long list which I was keeping until they caught up with all the normal queries.

Not on FS so no extracted batch.

There is no list for volumes past 123 so can't even tell if RC or CofE.

One ruled out by marriage.

One probably ruled out by age 18 in 1849 v. 18 in 1852.

Leaving two. No way of knowing.

The 15 yo or the 16 yo would fit.

Seems to be an error with two of them 15 and 18 - ages swapped in notes.

All RC but the marriage in Bathurst was CofE.

Lots of children born Bathurst. No son named Patrick or Bernard.

Since she signed on the marriage she must be able to read and write.

Catherine on the Digby in 1849 = cannot read or write

Catherine on the Lismoyne aged 15 = cannot read or write and also died 1899 at Avondale.

Catherine aged 16 on the Lismoyne = Other : Kilkenny Union. Empl. Henry Harris, Glebe, £6-£8, 3 years. (A maybe??)
