We still don't know if that David in 1841 and 1851 census is the father of Ann Watson born Lanark abt 1818

Ann McLuckie
Died 16 May 1860
Age - 42 [not on index record]
Father - David Watson
Mother - Christina Watson M.S. Buchanan

and can't find the marriage to fit parents as listed.
Yeah, nothing to support that, until we find David's first marriage... That said if there is a bap with both parents, that would also help.

Dunno Geoff.

Mother's name on death reg may or may not be correct. John McLuckie remarried.

John McLuckie coal miner age 40
Father - Alexander McLuckie coal miner dec.
Mother - Janet McLuckie M.S. Allan dec.
Mary Veitch spinster age 30
Father - Robert Veitch
Mother - Christian/Christina Buchanan
Witness - Walter McLuckie

So half sisters or one is an error or both errors with mother's name.

Others have researched and not solved that puzzle yet.

Is Isabell's maiden name Napier?
Isabell's maiden name is definitely Napier.

I found a death 1904 for Andrew Inglis Watson a few days ago, when I checked on SP there was an obvious error, so I contacted them and they replied today with a copy of the image and said they would correct it. M S = Napier, dec. Father = spirit merchant, dec. Informant = Alexander, brother.

Still not much help with Ann..

Thanks Geoff.

I have thought of something that makes this even more complicated.

Children of John McLuckie & Ann Watson:

Alexander - father's father - ok
Janet - father's mother - not per usual pattern
Christina - mother's mother - seems ok
Walter - ???
John - father - ok

It certainly is a complication given what we think we know about Ann's Parents. It would only take one error and it would throw that out
