OUTBREAK OF DIPHTHERIA AT ALBERT PARK.
A FAMILY ATTACKED.
THREE CHILDREN DIE FROM THE DISEASE.
An extremely sad case of family trouble, resulting from an outbreak of diphtheria in Albert Park, has just come under the notice of the hospital authorities. About three weeks ago Mrs. Williams, the wife of a commission agent, was residing with her children in a house in Moubray-street, Albert Park and one of the children- a little girl aged about 6 years- contracted diphtheria, and died after an illness of two or three days. Mrs. Williams and her other children then removed from the house in Moubray-street to one in Montague-street, also in Albert Park, where her sister, a Mrs. Abbott, resided. ...

Esther Williams, the fourth patient attacked with diphtheria in the Albert Park family, died this morning in the Melbourne hospital. No cause can be assigned for the outbreak.

It would seem David died after Esther.

11x deaths in NSW index 1875 - 1881 for a Sarah Williams.

Deaths in Vic. index but not one with age that fits for Sarah.

No birth reg for Arnold Williams 1875 +/- 1 that fits.

No death in Vic. index that fits for David with father = Joseph.

48x deaths in Vic. index 1875 - 1900 for a Joseph Williams.

Just one of several from Wales almost impossible to trace. Way off a main line so I'm not jumping to get a copy of the 1881 marriage.
