Why does his death have to be 1840-1841?

There is a burial for a William Stevens 8 March 1821 in Thornfalcon aged 50 (yob 1771) which would fit. Last baptism of a child to William and Sarah that I can find is for Robert in 1819 so william could have died anytime after that child's conception.
