I am having no luck tracing my wife's family, her father was george Deacon born Lochgelly Fife. His father Thomas married mary McCrorie widow of Mathew McLaughlan, I have names for both the resultant families but I cannot trace any of Thomas's ancestors, he was English and worked in the coal mines at the time of his marriage in 1900 in ayrshire Tarbolton/Ochiltree
I would be gratefull for any help whatsoever.
