Death Lookup - Started New Thread!!!

My uncle would dearly love to trace his twin sister's death register and especially burial place. We believe that she was only 9 or 10 days old when she died but have been unable to confirm this.

They were born in April 1937 (June quarter):

Eileen Halliwell in Rochdale 8e 9

Is anyone able to help please?

An Eileen was born and died in Amounderness the following year... but we just can't find ours...

Regards...

Hi
I don't know if this is your Eileen, but it is the only record I can find at about the date of her birth, but she would be nearer a year old.
Eileen Halliwell - A/J 1938 Amounderness ref 8e 634. This district was to the north of Preston, if you google the name it brings it up.

Sorry - i just edited my initial message regarding that Eileen... Our Eileen was definitely born April 1937 - the same day as my uncle - and he does show up on the same page under births for that day... It's a mystery to us too!!!

Regars.

Just to add to Daves findings, that was the only death and birth of Eileen Halliwell that I could find in the same year and quarter.

Although I did see the birth record that you have found.

Thank you for looking. I'm going to see if my mum can remember anything else at all. Ie - was she in hospital when she died and if so, where? She told me Eileen was 9 days old and my uncle says she was 10 days old.

It's very odd...

Hi

I've been given a breakthrough which I'm checking out with Lancashire Records office.

Another researcher has found an Irene Halliwell on the death records for 1937 in Littleborough (a hospital used by Rochdalians).

There is no birth record for Irene and no death record for Eileen - so I've asked Lancashire Records office if this could be the same person.

I'll see what feedback I get, but it looks like we may have found her.

Thanks for everything for now and I'll keep you informed.

Hi Oz
According to BMD Eileen's twin was Michael K, mother Goodwin, both born A/J 1937 Rochdale. They also had brothers, Kenneth A/J 1930 and Gerald J/S 1931, both Rochdale

Hi

Sorry didn't see your posts today.

I've spoken to and have had confirmation from Rochdale register office today that Eileen and Irene are one and the same person.

I have now contacted the local studies in Rochdale to find the burial record for Irene Halliwell 1937 June quarter in order that I can then contact the relevant cemetery for a plot plan.

Thank you very much for all your help. You are all amazing and I'll definitely ask again for your help.

Regards....
