hello everyone,i was wondering if anyone can help me,iam looking for my grandads dad his name is joseph davies,i think he was born in 1884 or 1886.i was told that my grandad was at the funeral of his dad that was in 1925 but i cannot find him anywere.his place of birth is toxteth park liverpool.please any help would be very much appriceated.am going nuts trying to find him.his wife's name is jane ann.

Hi,

Did Joseph die in the Toxeth Park/Liverpool area?

Have looked through the 1925 deaths, theres a Joseph Davies age 47 district Livepool and a Joseph Davies age 40 Cardiff.

Did Joseph have a middle name? Name may have been spelt Davis.

with everything you need to begin with yourself, work backwards and verify as you go along, proving with certificates and other documentation.

do you have your grandads marriage certificate? which will give your gt grandads name and occupation/address, this should help to locate him on the census.


I realise you are after his death cert, but if we build a picture then we have a greater chance of getting the right person.
