Dear Astwood
I have just looked up what is on an Irish death certificate and according to this person it does not include the place of birth. I remember that it does include it on the English death certificate. Perhaps one of our Irish friends can help us here

Astwood, take a look here at Barbara Dixons site for information on Certificate contents.

I am trying to remember the date that place of birth was included, but it would not have been in 1847.

Just found this-- From 1969, the deceased's address, place and date of birth and the maiden name if a married or widowed woman
