Hi everyone,

I've never taken two looks at the tax records that have come up on Ancestry as potentially being my relatives, I don't understand them.

Would someone be able to give me some information on them? What are they and how can I use them to get information from?

Thanks

Danielle

Tax records will stipulate where they are living at the time, whether freeholder or Tenant. If they have land, or buildings and land together, or a buisness.

If you could transcribe a record, and what part of the country it's in, and post it. That way, we may have a better understanding.
