could some one help with a marriage check if possible.my g,g,g,grandmother elizabeth thickett born commonside,gleadless 1837.she gave birth to a son john,at hagghouse now called hollinsend road,1857 my g,grandad,but for some reason she did,nt marry the father.would it be possible to check if she did marry .i know it is a big ask. its just that i would like to know what happened to her...regards john

According to ancestry, there are a couple of marriages in Sheffield that might be the ones you need. One in Q3 1846 (vol. 22 p.514), and a more likely one in Q4 1860 (9c 451). Possible husbands from 1860 are Thomas Tinker and Godfrey Beresford.

I can't find them in the 1861 census, though.
