I have come up against a brick wall with all efforts so far to find what happened to my Grandfather Garnet Neale Allen. With such an unusual name I would have thought it might have been easy.
He was born in Cranham Gloucestershire in 1881, Married Maude Hoare in 1899and lived in Newport Monmouthshire in 1901.There was a daughter Ethel born in 1900, and my Father Thomas Garnet in 1905. If there is anyone who can shed any light on events after 1901 please contact.

I have run into the same problem, since the cencus for 1911 won't be available until 2011, but I have met someone on line that is member of a genealogical society in the area I am looking,(I join it too but since I live in the USA I can't go there and look up anything) so she is trying to look up information (physically) for me, she is also posting something in the paper in that area to see if she can locate any relatives from there. But I guess what I am tring to say, have you checked your area for a genealogical society, if they are close to where you live they are nomally open a couple of day during the week for people to go look for information, and may hold information not yet posted on the internet. I guess it worth a try;)
