Digital Travel and Migration workshop in Sheffield

Hello everyone!

We're currently running a virtual world project at the University of Sheffield where family historians are playing a big part in investigating 19th-century migration from Europe to America.

One of our main aims is to uncover more about the English leg of the migration journey which saw thousands of people travelling through (mainly) Hull and Liverpool every year.

Do have a look at our website if you think you can help, but I'm really posting here to invite anyone interested to our workshop 'Digital Adventures in the History of Travel and Migration' at the University of Sheffield on Friday 29 November 2013.

We would love to see family historians there and it's free to attend (though numbers are limited) so please register an interest by Friday 25 October by clicking the link above.

Thank you
Louise Sorensen, 'Ola Nordmann Goes West' :)
