Divorce or Bigamist?

#1
My 2nd great grandfather a widower, married a widow woman named Eliza Ginder in 1886 in Birmingham. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. Her father is named as George Weston.

Her previous marriage under the name of Sarah Flavell was to George Ginder in 1869 Birmingham. On their marriage cert. her father is named Benjamin Flavell. Sarah and George had a number of children. George died in 1903.

On her son's baptism record in 1864 she is Eliza with George as the father.
Eliza died in 1916 with my gt. gt. grandfathers name of Doody also spelt as Dudey.

I have no idea why she claimed so many names unless there was a dark secret. I wonder if someone could please tell me if she was ever divorced from George before being married for a second time to Thomas Doody spelt Dudey? Could she have been involved in some kind of crime while married to George?

Thank you,
Julia
