I've been reading up a little on this subject but I'm still not sure how to go about it. My brother and I are tracing our paternal line but we only have a strong theory concerning the parentage of our paternal grandfather.

Does anyone how you go about this and how much it costs, as we would like to prove or disprove our theory.

Thank you

I would guess the first place to start, is finding a family who have the same paternal grandfather as you. Cousins, I suppose. Then if they are agreeable, you can match the DNA.

I wouldn't think it cheap, maybe ask your own doctor for advice.

Hmmn this DNA issue is interesting to say the least. Further reading shows that it is possible to find a direct male descendant of the family using Y chromosome testing. Worth looking into I think.:)
