Hi Gooders and welcome to the Forum.

This is my connection to the Australian branch of the family. I have extended the tree way off the main line because it is an interesting family with Stephen being a servant to Horatio Nelson in WI Squadron.

Marriage 7063/1921 PERDRIAU JAMES A - FURNER LORNA A - CHATSWOOD * 30 Mar 1921

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 26 March 1920 p.4
ENGAGEMENTS.
The engagement is announced of Miss Lorna A. Furner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Furner, of Corinda, Mowbray-road, Chatswood, with Mr. James A. Perdrlau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Perdriau, of Bradley's Head, Mosman.

Hello Dave
Thank you for replying. Always a strange feeling to see someone you don't know referring to your family!

My father was Lawrence James and Donald was his brother as you will no doubt have seen. Our blood line is really with the Cunnynghams. David Cunnyngham and France's Louisa had five children. It seems that Frances died in childbirth and David not long after however Alexander Douglas (my Grandfathet) was the only child "adopted" by James Augustus Perdriau. It would seem that this is where the Cunnyngham Perdriau name came from. I don't have to my knowledge any living relatives from this side so I have only worked the line out from looking at the British India genealogy site. Strange you should have been looking at Donald as I can't find what happened to him although I do remember him being spoken of.

If I have any info you want please just ask.

Regards Sue (Gooders)
