MACNICOL – on the 3rd April at Targo Street Bundaberg, Elizabeth, widow of the late Donald Macnicol of Brisbane and mother of Mrs John Davidson. The Argus has her age 57 years.

Donald b 1834 Dunoon Argyle Scotland to Walter McNicol & Margaret McMillan, married Elizabeth Campbell – private home Smythe St Geelong Vic 5 Feb 1855

Children:
Elizabeth Whitehill MacNicol 1855 Geelong – married 1878 Qld Edward Howard Oxenbould (he died 1880 Sydney) They had Margaret Elizabeth Oxenbould 1879 Qld – 1949.
It is believed that Elizabeth (daughter of Donald & Elizabeth) was employed by John Davidson to care for his children following the death of his first wife in August 1881 – they had 7 children. (John and Elizabeth married Qld 1882 C1467.)

1896 – 1911 - Living in Bingara St, Bundaberg. After John died, Elizabeth moved to Sydney with Grace Muriel and her sons to be close to her daughter, Maggie. It is also said that Elizabeth burnt John’s extensive library of books before leaving Bundaberg.
John Davidson died 6 March 1911 Bundaberg aged 70 - a Chemist.

1913 - Elizabeth signed the purchase of her block of land at 8 Sturt St, Longueville on 26 April 1913. The block was 29 1/2 perches in area. Elizabeth had her new home, Colinton, built on the block. The home is now classified by the National Trust.

1855 marriage would normally be on NSW site as well.

This one is not close to a main line so that's probably enough thanks.
