double check a death

i was wondering if someone could double check this date of death for me please

Mark Hammond
Date of Birth - 16th of March 1907
Born - Fenham Newcastle


Died - sept 1979 ( i think) in Co Durham

im just needing this double checking so i make sure i get the right death certificate
any and all help greatly appreciated

The only one near the dates you give that I can see was born 14 Mar 1907, died J/S 1975 East Durham, Tyne and Wear ref 1/1054.

The only birth I can see anywhere between 1906/1908 is in Telling, Durham to Thomas and Sarah Ann
