This might be one for the Migration board. I know Frank ended up in Australia. He married in Sydney in 1882. He was a clergyman.

EDIT: Just found a ref that says the family arrived in Queensland in 1865. .

Yes, the problem moves to the Migration board.

Looks as though they were unassisted. No sign of them on the assisted lists.
