Thanks Geoff.

That has to be an error for Ruth Anna. Edith is a daughter I didn't have in my tree. Explains why I had a gap between 20 Nov 1863 South Yarra and 1868 Boroondara.

Place 'S Ymra' is probably a mistranscription but it has to mean South Yarra.

Name is probably Deighton. Listed in E/R as George Deighton.

Correct parents listed on her death reg. Place would be Sandringham.

Not sure gibbo.

Marriage on 12 Sep 1855 but no departure date listed on OzShips:

arrival: Red Jacket
Origin: Liverpool
Destination: Melbourne 1855 Dec 4

It's possible. Seems the 'Red Jacket' takes about 3 months for the voyage.

Thanks gibbo.

That is very little time to get from Halifax to Liverpool unless the voyage was already arranged.

I'll check the fiche in the library later this week, probably Thursday. They have very little info but might confirm at least they were from Yorkshire.
