ITEMS OF INTEREST TO WOMEN
MARRIAGE OF WELL KNOWN COOLAMON FAMILIES
Miss Olive Joan Lange, the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Lange, of 'Kooringa' Rannock, made a lovely bride at her wedding to Bruce Cavillion, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Furner, of 'Corona' Coolamon, at the Methodist Church, Coolamon.
The marriage, which was performed by the Rev. W. S. Beazley, united two of the district's best known families. ...
I just read the above in Trove, will this help any?

Sister of the bride, Miss Joyce Lange, was bridesmaid.

Joyce must be older that Olive and both born after 1923. They are Albert's children.

1949 NSW Electoral Roll - Riverina - Ardlethan
LANGE Adolph Charles, Rannock, farmer
LANGE Albert Charles, Rannock, via Coolamon, farmer
LANGE Florence Rebecca, Rannock, home duties

Adolph may or may not have been living with his son in 1949 but clearly was in 1954.

1954 NSW Electoral Roll - Hume - Temora
LANGE Albert Charles, Hazeldean, Stockinbingal, farmer
LANGE Florence Rebecca, Hazeldean, Stockinbingal, home duties
LANGE Adolph Charles, Hazeldean, Stockinbingal, no occupation

With Florence Rebecca there it shows it's the same family. We don't have Adolph and a Charles John both with a son 'Bert' so something just odd about what name he used for different events.

In land selection there is an Adolphus Charles.

There is a Charles Lange from near Cootamundra who left there after 35 years to live in Sydney.

This is not getting any easier.

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/73136706

Death of a Ludwig Lange in 1913 and he has a son Adolph in Lockhart, NSW. That is S of Coolamon and Rannock is N of Coolamon.

No Conrad Lange on early shipping to SA.

Death 1877 83/348 LANGE Conrad undefined Gilbert

Death 1915 394/23 LANGE Elizabeth Conrad LANGE (DH) Gilbert * DH = Deceased Husband

Is this the marriage? One year after the birth? Elizabeth's surname is probably wrong in both reg.

1862 51/3 LANGE Conrad Johann Freidrich - KSCHISAN Elisabeth dist Talunga

Something to ponder..

Conrad Ludwig Christian LANGE
Birth Year: 1859
Parents = Conrad Ludwig Christian LANGE & Elizabeth KSCHIWINAN
District: Adelaide
REG: 15/145

Early pioneers have this..
"LANGE Conrad Ludwig Christian, Elizabeth KSCHIWINAN, parents of child born 1859-07-09 named Conrad Ludwig Christian at Concordia"

Geoff

EDIT: It may be worth checking out the Pioneers Index, a few x Lange on there.

Anc. also has this, not much help as the original only gives his name among a list of others, it looks as though it originated on the previous page, when looking back it's not the correct page. They've probably just copied the page with his name on.

South Australia, Australia, Passenger Lists, 1853:
Conrad Lange
Residence Date: 1853
Residence Place: Australia
